Main Your Shot Competition (Wild Card T&C’s below)

Competition registration opens 10AM, Monday 9th March, 2020. Entrants must register online at yourshot.com.au or yourshot.nz before registration closes, 11:59PM, the Friday prior to the respective state’s/country’s Registration Day (subject to change based on number of registrants). For example: registrations for the Brisbane Your Shot Competition will close Friday 1st May at 11:59PM. All registration day dates can be seen below.

To be considered for selection you must attend the interview/registration day in your state.
2a. Brisbane registration day – Saturday 2nd May, 2020 at Birdees, Fortitude Valley.
2b. Sydney registration day – Saturday 16th May, 2020 at Home The Venue.
2c. Adelaide registration day – Saturday 6th June, 2020 at Dog and Duck.
2d. Perth registration day – Saturday 13th June, 2020 at The Court.
2e. Melbourne registration day – Saturday 5th September, 2020 at the Royal Melbourne Hotel.
2f.  Auckland registration day – Saturday 19th September, 2020 at Studio the Venue

Your Shot will pick at least 100 contestants in each state between 2nd Of May, 2020 and 19th September, 2020. Contestants will be notified of selection via SMS, no later than 20th September, 2020.

The entrant must ensure that all information supplied during time of registration is true and accurate. Any information supplied that is incorrect or false, may result in the entrant being removed from the competition.

Entrants must be Australian citizens and/or permanent residents and aged 18 years or older to enter any Australian Your Shot Competition. Entrants must be New Zealand citizens and/or permanent residents and aged 18 years or older to enter any New Zealand Your Shot Competition.

Employees (and their immediate families) of the promoter, participating retailers and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following; spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.

Contestants must be available to attend 1 x 3 hour DJ training session per week, for six weeks, at the allocated training academy in their state.

Contestants must be available to attend the Your Shot Event Day relevant to their state;
8a. Brisbane 18 & 19 July
8b. Sydney 1 & 2 August
8c. Adelaide 15 & 16 August
8d. Perth 29 & 30 August
8e. Victoria 14 & 15 November
8f. Auckland 28 & 29 November

Each Your Shot state winner will receive:

  • A DJ set at an overseas event (including flights and accommodation).
  • Sponsor prize packs
  • One years supply of Red Bull.

Plus further prizes to be announced no later than 29th November, 2020.

All details of the Overseas set prizes including the set time, set length, set location, will be decided upon solely by Your Shot and the event promoters/organisers and can be changed at any time.

Overseas transfers, visas and meals must be covered at winner’s expense.

The total quantity of Red Bull that is deemed as “1 years supply” will be decided upon solely by Red Bull management.

By submitting an entry to this competition, applicants are giving permission for their information to be collected through yourshot.com.au, yourshot.nz and used by Your Shot, as specified in the Your Shot Privacy Act.

To be selected as a contestant and receive training, DJ entrants must not be contracted to any management or agency nor have played any major festivals. “Major Festival” definition is to be determined by Your Shot management on a case by case basis.

Contestants may not use Serato, Traktor, Ableton Live or any DJ/live set software during their Your Shot sets. Your Shot take no responsibility for any damage or loss of the winner’s property at events. Your Shot hereby expressly reserve the right to remove any winner and terminate the prize (and/or his/her companions) for any inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to intoxication, whilst participating in any element of the prize.

Your Shot hereby expressly reserve the right to remove any Your Shot contestant (and/or his/her companions) for any inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to intoxication, whilst participating in any element of the prize.

Your Shot will not be held accountable for the delivery of, or any changes to, any of the prizes to be awarded to each Your Shot state winner.

Your Shot Productions will not be held accountable for any changes to any of the prizes specified for the winner of Your Shot.

Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

Competition entrants (including but not limited to one off giveaways and general Your Shot competition) are restricted to winning a total of one Your Shot prize only over a term of three years. This includes but is not limited to: game of skill, random or “refer a friend” competitions and giveaways.

Entrants consent to Your Shot using the entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same), in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition and promoting any products or brands manufactured, distributed, supplied by, or in association with, the Promoter.

Only one set per contestant will be granted and considered.

Your Shot reserves the right to solely choose who is accepted for “Pre-Selection” via the “Want to be pre-selected for Your Shot 2020/2021” mechanic. Your Shot reserves the right to make any number of pre-selections, from a minimum of zero (0) per state.  Entering the “Want to be pre-selected for Your Shot 2020/2021” mechanic does not automatically mean you have been accepted, Your Shot will notify you prior to the commencement of your state’s Selection Day. If you are not accepted, you will have to attend your state’s selection day for your chance to be accepted into the Your Shot 2020 competition.

If the person selected as the winner can’t make it for any of the prize events, they must forfeit the prize and it will be redrawn. No cash replacement.

Entrants must not have competed in the Your Shot competition or Wild Card competition previously.

The judge’s decision is final.

Your Shot Wild Card Competition

All previous Your Shot terms and conditions, known as Main Your Shot Competition terms and conditions (those directly above) also apply directly and in full to those entering the Your Shot Wild Card Competition.

Applicants must not be signed to any booking or management agency. The applicant takes full responsibility for the content of the mix they upload at the time of application.

More prizes may become available. Entrants will be notified at least 2 weeks prior to the date of performance.

YOUR SHOT “SHARE TO WIN” COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Entrants are able to enter the “Share to Win” competition by “sharing” the Your Shot 2020 Promotional video that is linked on the Giveaways page of the official Your Shot website through their Facebook account.

Entries will be tallied through the shares found on the official video posted by the Your Shot Facebook page.

Your Shot reserves the right to choose any number of winners from zero (0) upwards.

All regular terms and conditions set out above this sub-section apply completely.

The listed prizes are not guaranteed and are subject to change at any time.

Prizes can not be substituted for cash.

This competition begins 14 May 2020 and will end the Saturday 9AM of the final Selection Day for Your Shot 2020/2021, or prior when the winner is drawn by Your Shot.

Your Shot reserves the right to draw a winner at any time period throughout the competition, at the time the winner is drawn the competition will cease.
